We are looking for a small animal RVN to join our friendly team of 10 RVNs, 2 trainees plus VCAs at our fully equipped small animal hospital set in a beautiful rural location in Oxfordshire.
The hospital boasts state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment including video-endoscopy, digital radiography and a brand new ultrasound machine, an in-house laboratory and modern soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical facilities. We pride ourselves on our inpatient care and have an isolation block far away from the kennels and cattery. Nurses work alongside a supportive team of receptionists and vets. We currently have a vacancy for a full time patient care assistant at our main Hook Norton Veterinary hospital. This newly created role will involve supporting our busy team of vets and nurses, animal handling and maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout the hospital.
By joining Hook Norton Veterinary Group you will be part of a team dedicated to providing excellent standards of client and animal care. This is a hands on role based mainly in the small animal team consisting of 40 hours per week and including some Saturday work. Our ideal candidate, will also be able to assist in our equine unit and be trained to join the emergency out of hours team which involves being on call for night and weekend duties on a rota basis.
Previous experience of working in a veterinary practice is not essential as full training will be given, although experience of working with animals is highly desirable. For candidates hoping to be involved with equine emergency work, experience with horses is essential.
The right candidate will be friendly, helpful, motivated, hard-working and flexible. They will also hold a full driving licence.
