Claw clipping is a skill especially as some pets can be particularly wriggly! If you are feeling under confident in trimming your pets nails our veterinary nurses can trim them for you and/or show you how to do it yourselves for FREE. This can be done within our NURSE clinics at our Hook Norton and Charlbury surgeries.
Dogs that exercise regularly on hard surfaces will need their claws clipping less regularly than those with a gentler lifestyle.
Most cats will keep their own claws a suitable length, but indoor and older cats often require claw clipping to prevent their claws curling inwards into their skin.
Rabbits and guinea pigs usually require claw clipping at the some point so please keep a close eye on them.
