Hook Norton Veterinary Group was founded in 1981 by J. Alan Walker who took over from his father, J.J. Walker, a vet practitioner.
In 1983 a branch surgery at Shipston-on-Stour was set up and in 1985 Stephen Glanvill became a partner and opened the surgery at Charlbury. In 1995 Simon Richards joined the partnership. Alan Walker retired from the partnership in 2006, although he still works as a consultant to the practice. The new branch surgery at Deddington opened in June 2006. In 2008 Gary Jennings became a partner and Sam Baldwyn joined the LLP Partnership in September 2013. Sam Cutts and Will Oldham became partners in September 2017.
We are a mixed practice with separate small animal, farm and equine departments with dedicated vets.
The White Hills Surgery is a tier 3 Small Animal Hospital under the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) accreditation scheme. This means that we have passed rigorous inspections covering areas such as health and safety, hygiene, the provision of 24 hour cover and clinical governance as well as having access to on site laboratory facilities for diagnostic testing.
The Hook Norton Veterinary Group is proud to be a member of XLVets. This is a group of privately owned veterinary practices spanning the length and breadth of the UK working together to share veterinary ideas, knowledge and skills. We are able to share information and ideas, using forums and continuing education meetings with the aim of providing the best care for your pets, horses and livestock.
